back to business

did my first interval session for a couple of weeks. strange thing was and i suppose you could view this as a positive or a negative thing was that i felt really heavy and bloated even though i had slept all afternoon and hadn't eaten for like seven hours, but i still managed to pull out my two fastest ever times for the medium lenghth reps

we were on clifton promenade with mike downs group and we actually had quite a good turnout last night. in total i did 4 medium reps and 2 short reps on the hill. the times for the medium reps were as follows in the order that i did them:- 3:52, 3:51, 3:54 and 3:55. perhaps not surprisingly i felt as though i lacked a lot of sharpness on the shorter reps. we did 2 of these in total, 2:19 and 2:17. the quickest i have done on these is 2:13 so as you can see, i was a good long way outside my best time for those.

as for tonight i managed to squeeze out a 6 mile steady run. i felt quite comfortable all the way around but heavy in the stomach still. i think thats probably down to post illness sort ouf thing. any way we're at the zoo tomorrow and i have never done one of these healthy before, so i would be interested to see what sort of times i manage to pull out. anyway i'm gonna sign off for now as i'm gonna have a look at the race fixtures for this weekend as i have been given this saturday off (yes!!!!!!!!)
